The City of Waukesha prohibits dogs and cats from being at large. According to the city's website, all dogs and cats must always be leashed and under the control of the owner when in public places. Furthermore, pet owners in the City of Waukesha are required to pick up after their pets.
8. Janesville, WI
Each residence in Janesville, WI, is limited to 3 cats or 3 dogs or a combination of both animals not exceeding a total of 4. This restriction does not apply to dogs and cats kept in outlying districts such as farms. The keeping of unlicensed dogs or cats is not allowed in Janesville. The City Code also prohibits dog and cat owners from permitting their pets to run at large in the City.
9. La Crosse, WI
A maximum of 4 licensable cats and/or 4 dogs is allowed per household in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Licensable cats and dogs, according to the La Crosse Municipal Code, mean cats and dogs over the age of five months. The city code requires that all dogs and cats be kept under restraint.
